Hey all

So I did the AUD exam yesterday and it felt like the first MCQ testlet was ridicilous, it was just so easy I was on clouds for the 30 minutes it took me to finish it, and then spent 15 minutes drinking redbull, using the restrooms, and feeling good about myself. The second and third MCQ testlets were horrible, and I ended up spending like 50 minutes on each, however think I did fine in the end.

Then comes the sims and I was surprised that a) they were super super easy (I must have 95-100% on this) and b) the first and last sim were almost identical (“edited by moderator due to disclosure”). What does this mean? Are the sims easier if I do bad on the MCQs? And have anyone here experienced that two sims are almost identical and what does that indicate?

Careful with the disclosure rules!

We can never know, since it's all a mysterious crapshoot. But the best (and most optimistic) theory is that you nailed the first testlet, resulting in a hard 2nd testlet. Then you nailed that with your superior auditing skillz. Then you got a hard 3rd testlet.

But then the SIMS were super easy because you know your stuff. You killed them like you killed the first testlet. SIMS are not related to your performance on the MCQs.

Maybe you scored a 99 with your super awesome auditing knowledge. You'll have to let us know.

The SIMS are predetermined and are not at all related to your performance on the MCQ. It is very common to have identical MCQ, but I don't think I've heard of identical SIMS. I'm sure you did great on your exam. On to the next one… 🙂

Drinking redbull, feeling good about yourself, chilling for 15 minutes…yo you're a boss, I never take a break, restroom or otherwise cause I feel I need the time. But sounds like you wrecked all parts of the exam, I'm curious to see if you got a 99.

Anyhow,

I just took AUD (again) yesterday and feel like crap. I did the best I could but I guess I should start planning my re-take in October. MCQ's were hardly english and the SIMS were horrible: 1 research and 6 with drop down boxes with 30 choices (give me JE's anytime)…I practically threw up. So much different than the first time I took it.
