I am not a fan of the AICPA, their steep dues, their shady CGMA certification or the “discounted” CPE they offer with membership. Great, they lobby for me in Washington D.C….big whoop.
I dug my heels in the ground and didn’t renew this year. My firm contacted me and told me it was required and “Unfortunately, all Partners and licensed CPA External Client Servers are required to become members of the AICPA in order to retain the Firm’s membership status in the Center for Audit Quality.”
I’m a Tax Senior……Audit quality?????!!!
