What are you guy planning on doing after completing CPA exams?

I am doing IT Audit, so I am not going to do any business-related study any more. My next goal is to do CISSP (Certified Information Systems Security Professional). It usually takes 3~9 months to pass CISSP exam. I will give it 3 months, and see if I can pass the exam. I can’t do long, intense study like CPA any more lol

Also, I am going to learn chinese as my wife is chinese – she speaks english. no problem there. but I need to communicate with parents in law who only speak Chinese (Mandarin, and Shanghainese).

    Currently:
    CPA - Class of 2013
    ALMI (Associate, Life Management Institute)
CISA - Passed in 2011, Certified in 2014

    In Progress:
ASA (Associate of Society of Actuaries) - EXAM P (O), EXAM FM (O), EXAM MFE (X), EXAM MLC (X), EXAM C (X)

I like these combination because my father is accountant and

I have seen how the lawyers need them for many things.

Give me some tips for reg, I am a little struggle with the basis and don't know in what focus most time. I am using Becker and I am in the chapter 5, tomorrow I begin the chapter 6.

    FAR: 91, first attempt

    BEC: 86, first attempt

    AUD: 99, first attempt

    REG:???

Definitely know how to calculate tax basis. It's a little tricky at first but once you get it it's easy points on the exam. Becker does a great job of explaining it. Just do the multiple choice over and over again.

I felt that the tax portion of the exam was more important than the law section. The tax code is a SOB and a lot of times makes no sense at all with the exceptions to the rule and the exceptions to the exceptions. Sometimes you have to put all reasoning aside to understand it.

On a positive note, I thought this was the easiest exam out of the 3 I've taken.

Good luck. I am sure you will be fine in Reg. considering the fact that you killed the other 3 sections.

@Ismael is you need advice, I study in the library of UPR LAW and UPR Medicine Science, I need advice for FARE, and I PASS REG with 90%. So if you want it, let me know.

I guess what I meant was when I signed up for NASBA notifications of scores/etc/important information, I picked email instead of mail as my form of communication preference. So, I have received all my NTS, Score Notification Service, exam info by email only this whole time. I was wondering if NASBA will follow suite with that same form of communication, of if the congratulatory letter/intructions is mail only….

What sucks is my address that NASBA has is my address that is on my drivers license (my parents house that I grew up in) so anything they send will be going to a different address. Thank goodness for mail forwarding!

    B 71, 74, 84*
    A 74, 72, 69, 74, 87*
    R 80* ... lost credit... 82* done forever!!!
    F 68, 68, 74, 78*

Yep, I've gotten five 74's! Wah!

Thanks for the advice, I appreciate all the recommendations that you gave to me, I am going to finish business law for the next week and then focus in taxes until I really know it, thanks so much.

Yes, i did the same for communication preference – email. But for the final score result, and instruction on next step, they will send a mail package. You may want to call NASBA and see if you can change the address they will mail it to.

I know.. this is such a waste of time, and resource as compared to simply sending/receiving email from them. I wanted to get license ASAP, but seems that we all need to wait until the mail arrives.

No problem. My wife said she got her package within 1 month in 2011. I think it will be the same for us too.
