Is the CGFM and CGAP license worth getting if you plan to stay in government?

    Does anyone actually care about these licenses? I see the CGAP is done by the same people who do the CIA license so that to me gives it credibility. Plus it’s only 20 hours CPE and 1 test.

    I just completed the CGFM certification. The tests are pretty easy, and aren't very expensive. Plus my work paid for the study guides. If you are a gov't accountant, you shouldn't have any problems passing. I have no idea if anyone cares about the CGFM or not (most likely not since it's gov't), but I figured it can't hurt to get it.
