I am interviewing for a position at a firm that is in SOC audit and is heavily IT focused. Does anyone have any experience in this area? The team seems really great. I am hoping that if I tire of public accounting that this sort of role will allow me to easily transition into an internal audit role. Is that a fair assumption?

In my first internship with my big 4 I worked on 2 Soc 1 engagements. From this limited experience I can say it would easily translate to IT internal audit in industry and in public accounting.
