Hello everyone, thanks for reading. I was wondering if anyone knew where I could find a good training course (preferably where I can obtain CPE credits) for an intro to REIT accounting/financial statement analysis? I will be working on a REIT client for the majority of my time and come from a manufacturing background. This is a consulting engagement so I really don’t have a firm to provide the training, I have to do it myself and get up to speed asap. I did some research online and didnt see anything too specific to REIT’s, just general real estate accounting. I appreciate any help, thanks!

I recently did a 12 hour self study CPE that was on federal estate and gift taxation. It went into detail on REIT's. I have yet to find a CPE solely on REITs as I am also interested in this area.

I work for a REIT. We area mainly medical office buildings, skilled nursing care and manage hospitals. Try BOMA and NAREIT.com as a starting point.
