I completed my cpa exams last week. I am now trying to get my CIA. Can someone tell me how long it will take to study the 3 parts and how many hours per week do you need to put in for this exam.

So far I've committed 4 weeks of study time for part 1 will total 7 weeks once test date approaches. I figure 6-7 weeks max for Parts 1&2 and maybe 8-9 weeks for part 3

Part 1: 2 weeks
Part 2: 2 weeks
Part 3: 1 month

You also got to realize the exams are changing as of January 2019 I think.

Yes Myredstapler that is correct Jan 2019 they are changing so be sure to update your review course to the updated version. I'll be taking part 1 before then. 2 weeks that is amazing!!!! were you already in an IA role? Part 1 has been coming along to me great with studying but i am nervous since i haven't taken a test in over 5 years.

I was already in IA when I completed the exams but honestly the experience in IA was not a huge factor in passing the exams. Mainly reading and understanding iia questions and how they want you to think.

@myredstapler: when it came to part 1 did the exam consist of any computations that you had to calculate? such as current ratio, A/R turnover ratio, etc.
