Hello,

I am wondering if anybody knows what you can do with a CMA and a CFE combination. I am currently finishing up my 24 semester hours of accounting to sit for the CPA, but I really have no desire to be an accountant and find that completing the classes are tedious. I already hold an MBA w/ finance concentration, but my passion lies in forensics. I want to get into law enforcement and I don’t really know if the CPA is worth the time and effort at this point. If worse comes to worse, and I stay with my current employer (Gov’t), the CMA and CPA hold the same weight for promotional opportunities. I do plan on getting some IT certs that deals with forensic though, as I see this as the way the future is going. I just want to get some input or any suggestions that anyone may have in regards to this situation.
