So I am thinking about taking the CISA exam but I do not have any IT background. I do have my CPA and a bachelors degree which does count as 3 of the 5 years of experience needed. For the remaining 2 I would need to either do something IT audit related or control and security related. Does Sox 404 count for the control part? For those that have any knowledge of the CISA requirements I would greatly appreciate your feedback!

I am also planning to write CISA this august 2017 , started preparing , as per my exp we don't need too much IT background, just read the CISA review manual & attempt the question bank ( app 1000+ MCQs ) that will be fine
