Hello, can anyone share experience about schedule taking the exam? How long did you study for each test? How many months did you schedule the test apart?

I bought the AGA self study materials and plan to sign up for the tests but it only comes with 3 test of 115 questions each (4 hours session each). Is that enough?

I took the CGFM last year and also purchased the AGA study materials (online version). I passed each exam the first time. I studied about a month for each exam (some were less than a month) and took them in consecutive months starting in May. I didn’t take them in sequential order though. I took exam 1 first, exam 3 then exam 2. If I remember correctly, exam 3 had more information so I wanted to get that out of the way before summer hit. Only reason I took exam 1 first is because spring semester hadn’t finished when I started studying and it was the lightest material. Good luck on your exams. I’ve worked Government my whole career and I still learned a ton.

I’m taking part 3 at the end of the month. I passed parts 1 & 2 on the first try. If you study the AGA study guides thoroughly, then you should pass. Part 1 was kinda tricky, but I was surprised how straight forward part 2 was. I already have my CPA, so after this exam I will hopefully be done with certification exams for good. 🙂
