Hello everyone. Im interested in taking the cfe exam but have not purchased any study material yet. I would like your opinion on the best way to study, prep course, manual, or bootcamp. I feel like this would be a pretty straight forward exam and I could pass without spending so much on materials that are way too long. Any thoughts? I can use some guidance.

Bootcamp is not necessary. I studied for about two weeks using the Fraud Examiner's Manual. Most of it is common sense.

My memory is foggy on this, but I think if you answer all of the review course questions correctly once through, then you'll receive 30+ fraud specific CPE for the year. You might want to call them to confirm, since I took the course 2 years ago.

Seemed like a great price for CPE & another certification all in one.

I plan to use the CFE test prep software to prepare for the exam. You could use the manual, but it is very large it will be hard to cover a significant amount of material without spending a lot of time. The prep software is expensive, but its a pretty strong method for getting prepared for the exam and building your fraud knowledge.

    Good Luck!
