Just taking another shot at this, to see if any CPAs still stalk this site and have also passed the CFF. I took part one and found out I failed right after. I am now waiting until July 18th to take the exam again (used to see a bunch of free space to take exam now there’s a month long wait?) and since we get no feedback on what we did right and wrong, I don’t even know what else I can do to prepare. I did the AICPA review course, and the two certificate courses worth 21.5 CPE credits. I have notes and I have been reviewing them, but without knowing what I did wrong the first time I don’t know what to do for next time.

I just want to know your experience with the exam, what you did to prepare, any advice helps!

I didn't get back to it, I placed it on hold and planning on focusing after getting CAMS. CFE is way easier than Cff IMO.

Hi! I failed Part 1 and instead of slogging ahead with no study materials, I opted to take the Core and Specialized Certificate programs to help out. I don't know if it will help me pass, but it can't hurt. Fingers crossed to us all!

    AUD 88 (expired), 80 retake
    FAR 64,69,67,73,67,73,73,73, August 3
    REG 75 (expired) September 7
    BEC 72, 77

    The adventure continues...

I did both the core and specialized courses to get the CPE since that's a requirement after you pass the CFF. Just scheduled Part 1 again for 9/5 and just plan to use my work knowledge plus anything I can get into my brain leading up to it.

@RP25 @CPA50 just as an update for you guys, took Part 1 today for the third time and I passed. Two differences this time around: I have 2.7 years experience instead of 1.5 years, and I reviewed the Fundamentals book heavily. I have notes from when I did the Core and Specialized programs and the 16 hour lecture, however, I think the Fundamentals book seems to be the best one for review to prepare (besides getting experience).

    Wow that's exciting!! Congrats!
I'll probably get more experience before re taking part 1. I found out that alot of questions were experience based vs the book knowledge. Maybe they updated that. I'm currently at 2.5 year experience. @cpa1234 Congrats though. Keep me updated on part 2.
