I’ve got a Masters in Accounting, a CPA, and about 3 years experience in corporate accounting. I just got a job offer for another corporate accounting position. I’ve also got a second interview coming up for a forensic accounting/business valuation job. The corporate accounting job is at a large publicly traded which is great. The forensic accounting job is for a small firm (about 10 people) which isn’t ideal. I really need help deciding if forensics/ business valuation is a good career choice. It seems to me like these kinds of jobs don’t come up very frequently. I’m worried that when it comes time for me to move on, I won’t be able to find other jobs. I don’t think I’m cutout for testifying in court which may limit my potential for income in the future as well.
Soo…whattaya think? Business valuation or just stick with what I know?
