Masters in Taxation – California Schools

I’m considering two Masters in Taxation programs – USC Marshall and Cal State Fullerton Mihaylo. I know that USC has a much better reputation, but Cal State Fullerton is significantly cheaper.

Are there any Southern California folks (or anyone for that matter) here that have input on Cal State Fullerton’s reputation? The managing partner of the CPA firm I work for got his MBT from USC, but said that honestly I’d learn the same material at either school.

    Thanks!

I don't know anything about the two programs you mentioned, but I've heard a lot of good things about Golden Gate. Pricey, but highly regarded. And their program is offered online.

Thanks for the input. Golden Gate is ranked pretty highly according to Tax Talent's annual survey, but yea it's pretty damn pricey. I'll look into it to get more info.

USC is also ranked high, and is probably a better known name overall. The CSUF program isn't even ranked, but is very cheap compared to the other two options. Guess my best course of action is to do well on the GMAT and see how much scholarship money I'll get at USC.

    Thanks!
