Is MST Degree Hard?

    My tax background consists of one year of corporate taxes for a public firm. I have several other years of seasonal “HR Block-type” tax work. I did pass the CPA Exam as well. Is the MST program hard? I live in California was thinking of going with Golden Gate online courses.

    Passed all 4 parts exam.

    GGU posts syllabi for most of their courses. Look them up and it should give you an idea how hard the classes are. I'm guessing they are not easy. Their final exams are worth 50-60% of your final grade.

    FAR: 81 (May 2013)
    BEC: 81 (July 2013)
    REG: 83 (August 2013)
    AUD: 82 (November 2013)
    California CPA since 1/30/14

    i just finished my MST program and had never worked in tax before other than doing the volunteer (VITA) program. i actually did better in the MST than in my undergrad in accounting. now im studying for my first section (FAR) and it is harder than anything ive ever taken in school..

    If you have been able to pass the CPA, mst or mba is just a chicken feed….I have an MBA and I can assure you that I could have been a medical doctor if I had studied this hard to begin with.
