Potentially silly question here, I recently graduated with an MSA from a strong program and started in Big 4 audit. I guess my grand scheme is to eventually make it into an upper management position somewhere, and I realize managers at F500 companies typically have MBAs. I have absolutely no intention of ever going back to school if possible, and there’s a ton of overlap between my school’s MSA and MBA programs to begin with. Does anyone know if people with a masters in accounting typically would need an MBA later on in their career to break into upper management positions, or would that be completely redundant?
