So I never thought I would give this topic much thought, but I’m giving some serious thought to going back for an MBA. I’ve reached a point in my dead end job that if I stay for another 18 months I’ll be vested in several retirement options. Part of me thinks that if I want to make the most of my time, I should use the company’s reimbursement plan to get an MBA. I already have a Bachelors in Finance and a Masters in Accounting. I’ve been trying unsuccessfully to break into management here so I was considering studying Management for the MBA (or at least something easy). Part of me thinks this is a solid plan, but the rational side of me says that a second Masters would be useless and that I should spend my time with family, playing guitar, getting in shape, or seeking board positions.
Should I try to better myself in the next 18 months or just coast it out?
