Hi everyone.

I’m looking to leave public accounting after 6 years but am in a small town. The nearest cities are a 1 hour drive each way so it wouldn’t be a huge deal to commute except maybe in winter.

My career interests are all over the map- school district assistant business manager, work for the government in some capacity, university, or a corporation. I’d prefer minimal travel as I’d like to have kids in the next few years. I’m already licensed as a CPA.

Is it worth pursuing a CMA or other licensure? Feedback and opinions are welcomed.
