Participant@Chris I wanted to obtain the CGMA back when they gave it away if you were already a licensed CPA, but I missed the deadline. Now they have all of these hoops and a case study for something that a few years ago, they just handed to people. Even if I would have gotten the CGMA before the AICPA required a test, I would have still pursued the CMA exam. I think that the AICPA wants to use the CGMA to compete with the CMA certification because the CMA is gaining some popularity. I'm not knocking the CGMA, if someone has the credential, it's great to have but for me, I just can't see myself paying for it.

ParticipantI used Wiley and I thought the questions in the course accurately reflected the difficulty of the questions on the actual exam. I am still waiting on my part 2 result, but on part 1, I would say I did a little better on the actual exam than in the practice exams. You also have the essays on the exam to help you out (assuming you do well on them).

Participant@ Chelsea : I used Gleim for both CMA part 1 and part 2. On my first pass of going through all 2K questions I got around 80% for both parts.
I went through all the questions again a second time and got a similar result. This served as a confirmation of my weak areas.
Towards the end I would focus on my weak points (missed questions) and would push my sore up to the 85% to 90% range days before the exam.

Participant@onmywaytoCPA can I check how was your score in the MCQ though?

ParticipantHi @cpaguy123456 — I just joined the forum. I wonder what was the actual result of your CMA is? I found P2 manageable but was challenged on the time constraint 🙁
Not able to fully proof read my essay as much as I wanted to.
I am also not sure how good the Gleim Mock Exam as a predictor for passing the exam. I took it like a week before and got 89% Not sure if that smh show the possibility of me passing T_T
Can anyone share their experience?

ParticipantHello,
I took part 2 and failed using Gleim, but was unable to really study as much as I wanted to at the end. I seem to be having problems retaining all the information because I have been out of school for a while and I’m not too smart. I am open to any suggestions on how to pass part 2 with Gleim. Thanks
