when to give notice?

    i’m currently working at a small cpa firm and recently accepted an offer to go work for a big 4 this fall. I’ve been working here full time for about four months. When should i give notice that i’m leaving?

    2 weeks before the date you expect to be your last day.

    Could do a couple additional weeks – say a month's notice or something like that – if you wanted to give your managers additional time to prepare and/or find a replacement, but definitely no need to give notice now (essentially 9 months or so in advance).
