There might be a thread out there like this and I’m sorry if I missed it and created a duplicate.

I’m just curious. I’m a recent MAcc graduate from a state university. My undergrad was from a no-name university that no one has heard of. I’m struggling to find a job and it is so late in the recruiting season, I doubt I’ll find one at a CPA firm. It makes me wonder if I’m going to struggle to take this test and then end up in a bookkeeping position where I don’t use any of the material (and don’t make the $$$ like a CPA should!).

So I’m just curious: what do you all do? How did you get to where you are and where do you intend to go?

I don't think its so late in recruiting season, universities are just having career fairs. Anyway, a lot of people are in your situation.. hold your head high. And yes you may find yourself in a bookkeeping position while you take the exams. Passing all four parts will bring more firm interest to you.
