There are too many variables to consider here. We will need more information to even attempt to throw out numbers. You could also check the Robert Half salary guide. The average salary is listed be title, not years of experience, but it could still be helpful for you.

lol. Tons of variables, but I'll answer from my perspective (being less than 3 yrs into my career). $85k.

Personally, in around 5 years time (8 yrs into my career), I hope to be in an Accounting Manager position in Industry. Fair pay at that level at a good company in my area, I think would be around the mid 80's. So to answer your question: $85k is decent pay for a strongish performer IMO.

But I don't expect that to just happen by itself either.. You cant be a staff GL accountant for 8 years then go to your boss and say hey look at another71.com – fair pay is $85k ;).

Look up Glassdoor.com for a company similar to yours (in size and revenue) or even titles similar to you and compare your salary to national average.
