It’s a software company, and in the phone interview it was mentioned that people come to work in flip-flops and shorts (and bring their dogs to work!) Obviously I wouldn’t go to the interview that way (or bring my dogs, lol), but I don’t want to be strikingly over dressed either.

    Any ideas?

Oh. It means you nailed it. Sorry. Too much slang spilling over from another forum. My bad (that means “my fault”).

    LOL…you guys kill me.

Had the phone interview this morning and it went really, really well. I think the position is good for me and I would be good for the company. The CFO said I could wear a suit or flip-flops (or even both together!) It's more about what is most comfortable for the employee. It's a very small company, too.

I guess we'll see if I get an in-person interview.

I would totally wear a suit and flip flops if that is what he/she said.

Congrats on the interview going well.

    Guess what?

Now I have two in-person interviews on Tuesday. In the same area. One right after the other.

One is a public accounting firm, which is fairly formal. The other is the flip-flops company. I much, much, much prefer the position at the flip-flop co. I plan to dress in the middle. πŸ˜‰

Oh, and for the naysayers. The flip flop co.? They found me. How? Through monster (I posted my resume and it came up in a search.) I told the CFO that I thought it was a scam at first, and even looked up the co. on the Secretary of State website to make sure it really existed. LOL
