I have passed the CPA exam but I don’t have the experience yet. I have 3 years of bookeeping experience not under a CPA. I am applying to private companies for an accountant position and I would like to know roughly how much an appropriate salary would be. What should I expect to be fair?

Honestly depends on company size, area, industry. A general staff accountant working in private with 3yrs bookkeeping, could be anywhere from 45-55k. Public entry level ~55-60k
