I’m back in the job market, and I have a few interviews lined up, but I was wondering how much people are paying now for healthcare for a family of 3. I’m currently paying $200 a month for health, dental and vision for my wife and I, but I currently have a government job. Also my wife is pregnant with our first child, and we will need benefits for him. One of the jobs I am interviewing for, will give me about a $7,000 wage increase from my current job, but the cost for benefits for my wife and our son (after he’s born in September) will be around $610 a month.
I’m just wondering if that’s a good amount to pay, or if I will be getting ripped off. I do understand that healthcare is at an all time high in America, and just having benefits for your family is definitely a blessing.
Any feedback is definitely appreciated.
