I was promised by a big 4 recruiter that i will be contacted in January for an experienced position “she told me she’s put me on her calendar to call on the beginning of jan or the first of jan ” … Shall i keep on waiting … e-mail her to see whats up ? or was it just a nice way to say goodbye ?

if i should E-mail her … Shall i say happy new year ? ! or is it too late !

You should definately email her, put your name in front of her again. She probably told over 100 people the same thing meaning to get back to a handful of them. Doesn't mean she was saying goodbye but she is gearing up for their busy season and has a lot to juggle.

And say Happy New Year, Its not like its March 🙂

I have a feeling you may have misinterpreted the information. Perhaps, she meant to say she may contact you in January. There may be a chance she is waiting for approval to open a position so outside her control situation. Question is, when did she tell you this information?

Disregard, you said waiting since October. Chances are, since this is a CPA firm and tax season may be approaching, they were probably working well ahead of schedule locating potential employees; however, given the fact it's been a full quarter, I believe you may have misinterpreted the promise. They would have contacted you sooner. Doesn't hurt; however, to contact them to find out what happened. I have a feeling this one fell through.
