Wait to leave after bonus?

I have a few opportunities available and intend on going on several interviews next few weeks. Nothing definite but if a great opportunity presents itself I would take it. I am working at a CPA firm now and have been wanting to leave for some time now. (Been there about 3 years now) Our firm gives out its bonus in the summer fairly soon…should I wait for the bonus and leave after? Lets say I get an offer and they want me to start before I get the bonus, can I negotiate with my new firm to make up for the lost bonus? Sorry if this a common question but I have only had this job. Thanks

    It wouldn't hurt to try.

It's happening to me now. My bonus is in 2 weeks and I asked the new company to wait after the bonus for me to give my 2 weeks notice, and they agreed. If you're still going on interviews then it will take a few weeks for you to finalize an offer because of two rounds of interview, background check, and just normal wait time. Don't worry too much.
