Anyone put there 2 weeks in and basically just sit there and stare because nobody wanted to give you work?

@novice great but remember my wisdom in future…for the job change I went in 2011, I got an offer contingent on completion of the background check, we set up a start date, HR dept scanned and emailed me the offer letter. I gave my two weeks notice. My background check took like 8 business days. Every day beyond 5 days I was so stressed out and nervous that the bg check company screwed something up, and my offer will be rescinded. This time around when I changed jobs this year in 2014, bg check took 13 business days, no idea why its taking so long…but I didn't give my two weeks notice or commit to a start date until after the bg check was complete.

I am using Becker self study, ninja blitz and Wiley (I am using the paperback version of the testbank)

    Brief overview of study method:
    1. Skim through chapter quickly
    2. Watch lecture videos
    3. Take a lot of notes on what the lecturers emphasize
    4. Complete half HW after lectures half after rewriting notes

I'm a little jealous of all the peeps who've given their notice. I hope to be in your shoes sooner rather than later.
