Hello folks.
I’ve been working as a Financial Analyst in Healthcare industry for about 2 years now. I’m getting my CPA license this year (after the score release in 2 weeks!!! fingers crossed*) After I get my CPA, I want to look for a part-time CPA opportunity in a small firm since my current full-time position is soley finance-related. I don’t think it’s not the right time to ask for a transfer to Accounting department since I’d like to get more experience in Finance as well. Are there any of you who’s been utilizing your CPA license by having a part-time job as a CPA? I wonder if small CPA firms offer positions to someone with full-time jobs. Hopefully weekends only. I just want to stay current with my accounting knowledge and gain some experience too. Is there any other way to do so? I’m also thinking of volunteering at local organizations to help low-income failies to fill out their tax returns. Please feel free to make comments and suggestions!
Thanks in advance!
