I am just wondering about tense on a resume. Obviously if it is a job that you no longer have, it’s in the past (ed) and already happened. I suppose using the word ‘reconciled’ would be appropriate, however, if you also have a current job, using the past tense for that job would be inappropriate. And thus ‘reconcile’ as opposed to ‘reconciled’ would be appropriate. My concern is that it might be unprofessional to not have the same tense for all the jobs, so I’m wondering if using the present tense for previous jobs would be appropriate since it’s obvious it happened in the past because of the job dates, and you are just using the present tense for the purpose of consistency across the resume (every job is in the present tense). Thoughts? Thanks.
