I was hired this Fall to start Audit next Fall. I heard we would get start dates in May and they are usually September. I do not want to give notice at current position until I have start date but I am being tasked with additional responsibilities and feel bad not saying anything. My current job is like family but the growth is not there. Was just curious if anyone could share their experience or insight.

I would not say anything until you know for sure what your start date is. The reason I say this is because the first time I interviewed with the firm I work for now there ended up being a hiring freeze and they could not offer me the job. Ever since I have always taken precaution. You don't want to say I am leaving in May and you don't start till September. Just take on whatever they are giving you and act like you are not going anywhere.
