    Hey everyone,

I recently got a job with a public accounting firm (not big 4, but one of nation’s biggest) and I have training for a week (Oct 10-14) in another state and I was just wondering if anyone knows if we get paid for that? After that week of training, we begin work full time. I got this position in January and was given a start date in October so it’s been a long time coming lol. I will be moving into an apartment in the city October 1st and I’m curious as to when I will first get paid because money will be really tight for me.

If anyone has any experience, please let me know!
    Thank you!

You definitely get paid for it

FAR- taken 8/11/16....now the wait begins
    AUD- scheduled 9/8/16
    BEC- scheduled 10/9/16
    REG-scheduled 12/10/16

Live a few years like most people won't, to live the rest of your life like most people can't.

I'm sure the time is paid; however, when it's paid depends on the company's pay schedule. If they pay monthly on the 15th for the prior month's work, then you could have been at work for over a month before you get paid. On the flip-side, it could be like my current employer, where employees are paid for the month during the month, so my first payday was a couple weeks into the job and for a full month. There's limitations on how long an employer is allowed to delay between the end of the pay period and the pay date, but I don't know them off-hand.
