I currently work in industry and am looking into making the jump into public accounting upon completion of the CPA exam. What should I expect working in public/What should I do to get my foot in the door?

Backstory: I’m 21 years old and newly married. Live near Mobile, AL. Have emailed all of the public
firms when I found out this is where I was moving. I think my resume is good but I suppose
that’s a matter of opinion. Want to get into auditing and consulting focus.
