Hi, I was just wondering if anyone knows if smaller firms offer benefits, such as health insurance? I’m asking about firms with aproximately 10-15 accountants. If you work at a firm (not a Big4-obviously), do you have health insurance at the firm? Either yes or no , what is the size of your firm? I do want to work at a smaller firm.. but I need health insurance. Due to health reasons, I’m not able to get approved on an individual plan. Thanks.

We have 2 CPAs and 2 staff accountants but the firm does offer Blue Cross Blue Shield. I don't use it as my husband gets all of his health insurance fully paid.

There is 10 altogether at my work (not all CPAs), and although I am not full time yet so I am not completely sure, I do believe that they offer health insurance, not sure how much the cost is though.

I work at small accounting firm in MN which does provide health insurance. I am so lucky to be working where I am, I have great bosses and coworkers and an awesome work environment 🙂

I also work at a small public firm in MN – and health insurance is offered here. The firm covers 80% of the premiums I think and the provider is BCBS of MN.

But I wouldn't lose sleep over it because didn't Obama and his posse solved the health care and insurance problem??!?!? Low cost, excellent health coverage will be bestowed upon all soon!!!! errr wait……
