Would it be beneficial for a CPA to get a six sigma certification? Does anyone here have one? If so, how does the exam and materials compare to the CPA exam?

I can't think of a case where it would be beneficial honestly, two very different disciplines and only relevant in manufacturing. If you worked in a large enough manufacturer that they're actually looking for people certified to six sigma, the positions where a CPA would hold value aren't the ones making manufacturing and operations decisions.

That said its not expensive to get and won't work against you.

As said above, it won't hurt to get it. If you work in an industry where your peers have it or you aspire to own a business where Six Sigma could really benefit you, then go for it. With that being said I've never seen a CPA with that certification. Typically a CPA is all you need. Instead focus on work and learning how to sell business and presenting information clearly.
