I'm, Ron Burgundy?
MemberI worked for them as a staffing manager and all I can say is: RUN.

InactiveI'm thinking you are asking about Robert Half recruiting. Robert Half has a recruiting branch that searches for candidates for positions with their clients. I interviewed not too ago for a position with a local client and ultimately told the recruiter I was no longer interested in the position for a variety of reasons. So yes, they are as legit as any headhunter out there looking for qualified candidates.

ParticipantSome of the jobs they list are legit, many are not. They will create fictitious jobs to get candidate resumes. They then seach legit job listings and call hiring employers about candidates they represent. I have never contacted them as a hiring manager but they solicit me at least twice a year. They also shoot for QUICK turnaroud instead of “best fit”, meaning if yhey have the resume of a CPA with managemrnt experience, theyll submit it for an A/P or staff accountant position. They're ok if youre desperate for a quick job but not if youre trying to make a strategic career move.
FAR- 77
AUD -49, 71, 84
REG -56,75!
BEC -75Massachusetts CPA (non reporting) since 3/12.

MemberThat explains why they say that their clients' names are confidential…
I applied online for 2 jobs – at Intel and a regional CPA firm 2 years ago and got a call for an interview from both. I don't see the need for a staffing company.

InactiveThe experience I had with Robert half was overall pretty good. A recruiter contacted me through LinkedIn and I was like, why not! All positions were entry level staff accountant in industry (private equity, real estate, etc). I only have a bachelors.
The actual companies seemed amazing. I interviewed with a few that seemed interesting, and was able to pick my top with who I want to continue with after first rounds. A lot of the people I would have worked for were from Ivy Leagues or Big 4 alums. Ultimately I chose big 4, even though the industry companies offered higher salaries. I'm still in contact with everyone I interviewed with and they told me to reach out to them if I ever consider making the switch to industry. (btw my big 4 interviews were not through robert half)

ParticipantI had a good experience with Robert Half. I sent in my resume, met with a recruiter and had several job interviews and one offer.

InactiveIt depends on the office or location. I used Robert Half as a hiring manager and they were helpful and provided good candidates. On the other hand, I have applied for jobs through Robert Half in other cities and the recruiters I talked to were like used car salesmen and it was similar to what mla1169 said above. Ugh.
If a company hires a candidate through an agency or headhunter, the company will pay 10% to 25% of that person's salary as a placement fee. That must be why so many recruiters are so sleazy.
