Hi! Does anyone have actual job interview experiences with Department of Revenue? What are some specific knowledge in taxes and audits they might ask? I never interviewed for a government job before so I’m very nervous. (Not to mention I have severe interview anxiety) I was notified this morning for the interview which is in a week! Very frightening…

    My background:

I made a career change decision so I left my A/P job at a fashion company and have been focused on passing CPA exams.

I have no work experiences in Audit and Taxes. I recently passed BEC and FAR with mid 80s. I am currently studying for Audit exams which is in two weeks. I’ve had volunteered for VITA preparer some years ago which I basically forgot everything in taxes.

Please enlighten me with your knowledge and experiences!

I recently join in a state government. You would expect a panel interview and structured questions related to the job. If you have 1 – 1.5 hours test at the end of interview, don't be too surprised.
