just got this message randomly in my linkedin and not sure if it’s worth following up on as I have been guaranteed a financial reporting position at a local company that many people get big4 offers for afterwards.

I'd be skeptical of “apex” recruiting for Deloitte, if I am not mistaken deloitte has huge internal recruiting. Before doing anything else I'd do a bit of homework on this recruiting firm, most will preface with a fictitious job that they are not representing (maybe Deloitte is advertising the same position and they're trying to send candidates but Deloitte will tell them to go away) then when you call they've filled THAT position but have a min wage accounts payable position you'd be perfect for.
