Keeping my fingers crossed, but hopefully I’ll past this last exam this month and be officially done. Our annual raises are coming up next month and I would like to request an additional bump above what I would normally get. Is it best to ask for an additional raise during reviews when I’m told my annual raise, before or after? I currently make $65K/year in the Phoenix area. I work as a Financial Analyst in industry and have 6 years of accounting experience. What should I be making and how do I convince my manager that I should be making more as a CPA?

I beleive the Robert Half Salary Survey says 5 – 10% more for additional certifications. I'd ask for the 10% and expect 5% in addition to your scheduled increase.

I'm so looking forward to being done. I have a feeling once I'm done with the exam, they are going to say I can my mystery promised raise after I'm actually licensed, which since I'm short on units and the application review and approval process takes a while, will stretch out the time that they can continue to underpay me.

    FAR - 7/13 - 72, 11/13- 74, 2/14- 82!!! Best score ever (for me)!!!
BEC - 1/14 - 75!!! Perfect score! First Pass! YAY!!!
    AUD - 8/14 - 80!!!
    REG - 5/14 - 72, 10/14 - 66, 1/15 - 78 - DONE FOREVER!!!
I did 5 of the UNA and CPAExcel classes to earn units.
