I am looking for a remote position that could be worked 100% from home with potential travel a few times a year, if needed. I am a CPA and a new Mom and currently work in public accounting as an Auditor at the senior level. Prior to starting in public accounting, I worked four years in private industry. Does anyone on this forum work for a company that allows people in the accounting department to work 100% remote?

In 2015, I worked for OneSpace for a month's project. The company pays well to their freelancers. Great online platform for assigned jobs. Great management. Based in St. Louis, MO. Get paid through PayPal, once job is done. Pretty much, you get paid everyday. Great freelancing job for early riser (Central Time). Just ask @Jeff, he lives in Kansas, MO!:)

I've been considering freelance work. I haven't looked too much into it though because I've also heard that many of these sites are global and many of the jobs can find someone just as qualified who will accept a much lower rate than what would be “standard” in the US, so many US CPA's are outbid on these jobs. When you did freelance work did you experience this at all?
