Hi,

Anyone here ever work for one of those R&D Tax Credit firms? I’m talking about the boutique firms that deal almost exclusively in R&D. I’d love to hear your experience, your feelings about the future of the industry, and any general advice for anyone contemplating a job in an R&D firm.

I have some R&D tax credit experience with the company I currently work for – corporate, not public, and we do our R&D credit work internally – and i find the whole process pretty interesting. I have seen a few job postings for “R&D Tax Credit Manager” positions at a few small firms that seem to do nothing else but this. However, I wonder what the work is actually like and whether or not it is as interesting and challenging as it seems!
