Quick question about recruitment for non-accounting undergrad.

Hello everyone. New member to the forum.

I am currently applying to MS Accounting and MACC programs around the San Diego/Orange County area and as a non-accounting undergrad (Business Admin, Marketing), I’m a bit confused about the recruiting process, and had some questions.

I’ve heard that the recruiting process is in the Fall. If this is true, and I start in the Fall, I wouldn’t have anything to show these recruiters I would assume? I mean, I’d have pre-req accounting courses from UCSD extension, but would I use this GPA on the resume when presenting to them about internships/jobs?

Would the approach for someone in my position be to network later on during the program (School groups, fraternity, fairs) as I accumulate my graduate GPA and extra-curriculars?

    Thank you.

I was not allowed to go to the career fair at UCSD with my extension courses. I m eligible for an exam, but not for on campus meet the firms job fairs. If you enrolled in any of UC graduate programs, you can attemt that meeting in two weeks at UCSD.

I think you can use your gpa from extension classes. The graduate classes are tought the same way as extension (same books and on quartely basis).
