I got an interview last week through a recruiter. After the interview, I ask my interviewer for his business card and if it’s ok for me to follow up with him which he said ok. But now I wonder if I should directly send him an email or should I contact my recruiter first? Thanks for input.

You should contact the recruiter first. In the future you should do it immediately after the interview and let the recruiter know you'd like to send a thank you email right away.

Thanks mla1169, I did call my recruiter to let him know about the interview right after I was done. Guess I'll call him tomorrow to find out if I had a chance for this position.

Seems like I need advice again. So I called this recruiter on Monday and was told that he wasn't in. I called again next day and was told the same thing, so I left message for him to call me back but I haven't gotten anything since then. Should I give up or call him again next week? I have a strange feeling that he's avoiding me?!

Yah, I think he's avoiding you. Recruiters can get really flaky sometimes. I'd take the hint and move on.

I don't understand why he's acting like that. Completely unprofessional IMHO. Oh well, I just move on then. Thanks for the input.

Recruiters can often act that way unfortunately.

Recruiters are working for themselves and for the fat commission check they will receive after they place you in…

He/She probably got a better fit/match for the position, so now he is ignoring you. Totally unprofessional, i agree. man up and come out and say that you will not be a good fit, game over….

Don't worry after you receive your CPA license you will do the same thing to them in the future.
