I need some advice. If you pass the exam and been certified would you still show your gpa on your resume because i am still in graduate school Also, I have at least four years of experience. would you consider going to campus recruiting? Tell me what to do!! please.

I would think that a license number is far more important than a GPA. As an employer, a GPA would mean nothing to me if a potential employee had a CPA license. Just my .02 worth.

if your gpa is good, then yes put it on your resume. what kind of experience do you have? if non accounting, definitely go to campus recruiting, because you'll be applying for entry level anyway. if accounting experience, I'd say still go, because you never know what opportunities could open up. I went to my campus' meet the firms looking for internships only and wound up getting two job offers for a over a year later after I graduated. Campus recruiting is a great tool to have.

Just realized you said you had a license. In that case, definitely put that on there, and throw in your GPA as well if you go to campus recruiting. in my opinion.

@jbisdamon Thanks for your advice. My problem is my Graduate GPA is lower than my undergraduate GPA even though I have my license and job experience. What would you do?

If you had a good GPA, it really can't hurt to include it in addition to the CPA title and license.

The showing of the GPA is no longer critical. I removed mine from my resume and nobody ever asks about it. But when a position specifies the GPA required (such as various internships and entry-level positions in the Big 4), it is, at least, implied that your GPA must be at par, though not required to be displayed anywhere (the recruiter will probably ask your GPA).

CIA - Passed 2015
