InactiveI have gone thru several interviews, not successful. I think my weaknesses is the questions I should ask interviewers
Anyone can help me with that? if you go to an interview for a CPA firm, what should you ask them?

MemberI have a good friend that is the HR director for a large company, and she helped me with questions before I intereviewed with the firm I am working with now. Firms want to know that you are as interested in them as they are about you. One question that I asked that I feel like helped me was what was the interviewers favorite thing about working with the firm. I feel like I caught my interviewers off guard, in a good way, with that question. I was interviewed by 3 different people so I had a list of questions ready and randomly picked which ones I asked which interviewer. I asked an average of 2-4 questions per interviewer. Hope this helps and good luck!!

AUD: 68 (Becker basic), 91 (Becker, WTB, NINJA)

ParticipantI made a solid list by filtering my questions through a CPA relative and a CPA friend–both Big4 alums, to ensure I went in with the BEST questions. If I can dig it up off my old computer I'll post them
One of my favorites was:
“When you were in my position and had all the different firms to chose from, why did you pick X, and what has kept you here”
It tells them, I have other offers or interviews and gets them to talk about themselves all in one question.

MemberI typically ask about the company culture and if there is room for advancement in the company. This is obvious but don't ask about salary or benefits at a first round interview. Sometimes they will go over benefits at a first round but don't be the first one to bring it up imo.
Also always make sure you have some questions you would like to ask beforehand. If you don't ask any questions, it will make you look really bad and not interested in the position. I actually did this once and I could tell it hurt my chances immensely. Good luck.

ParticipantThese are the questions I brought with me to EY, looking back some of them could probably be dropped, but its a nice spread and served me well. Was nice to have a larger list, showed that I was well prepared and gave the impression that I was purposely selecting a certain question from my list as I scanned down it, and sometimes this was true. Go in with lots of great questions and maybe you'll find that some better fit interview than others–rather than having a standard three.
HIRING QUESTIONS
1. What is the usual hiring process with EY?
2. I would like to be considered for a position, what would be the next steps? (good for networking events)
a.Would you please refer me to who is recruiting for the next class?
b. Are there any upcoming events that I could attend?
c. Any other suggestions outside of the application process on EY’s website
3. I have passed BEC®, and am sitting for FAR&AUD soon, how much weight will having these sections completed and ultimately the entire exam finished carry on my application?
4. What do you look for in staff auditors?
[whatever s/he answers, share your strengths that meet this.]
JOB/COMPANY QUESTIONS
1. Typically speaking, how does career advancement move along with EY and what are the steps?
2. Once licensed, what additional responsibilities can I expect if I were at EY?
3. What areas is EY growing its business, what areas do they see as their growth opportunities?
4. Tell me about the first year with EY, from hire to on-site audit?
5. What kind of involvement does an entry level auditor have during the first year?
–How have you successfully mentored someone on your team?
–How have you helped someone achieve their professional goals?
–When you went through this process out of college, how did you decide on EY, what made you stay?
