I am going to be in core assurance starting this fall. I have an interest in Transaction Services. Anybody have any idea how I can eventually transfer into a TS role at my current firm (B4)? Also, what do the decisionmakers in TS look for in a prospective transfer? I’d love to hear more about anyones experience with moving from assurance to Transaction Services?

First, it only helps ur case if you have the CPA done. Second, “typically”, people make the move after around 2 busy seasons, if not, when they become a senior. If you can prove you are very efficient with excel, as well as having a more analytically abled mindset, i dont see why you shouldnt be able to make the move within 2+ years of exp (IMO).
