    Hello everyone. I have just finished taking all 4 parts of the CPA and looking to build my resume. I never had an accounting job and I have no yet completed the ethics course exam.

    My question is, where and how should I write in my resume that I have completed the 4 parts of the resume? I know this is an embarrassing question, but can i write CPA after my name on my resume? (I know it’s a no because I’m not licensed yet, but better to ask than assuming.) Would it be difficult for a person like me with no experience to get a job in pubic accounting or in the government? (I’m such a newb..)

    Thank you everyone for your feedback. Everyone here has always been great people! =D

    You cannot put CPA after your name! I Might do something like “Certifications” heading, then put “CPA – Anticipated October 2014 (to get the experience requirement met), and then list “Passed all 4 sections of exam, awaiting ethics and experience”, or something along those lines. But don't put it after your name!

    And…it will be hard to get a job with experience. There's no two ways about that. However, everyone gets a job without experience at some point, because you can't get experience without first having none! So don't be discouraged if a lot of people turn you down because you don't have experience, just keep at it – someone will give you a chance at some point!

    @Elisabeth,

    You read my mind. I was feeling discouraged to the fact that I had no experience. I still have to take a 1 class to fulfill the 150 credit.Thank you for making it clear for me. I really appreciate it! =D
