Hey Guys, this is a Financial Reporting internship for $16hr. part-time. I have an interview for it next week. Does this seem like a good resume builder/experience?

Responsibilities include:
-Assist in the external reporting process to the SEC with various duties associated with financial reporting

-Assist in SOX compliance

-Assist in monthly bank reconciliations

-Assist in the preparation of workpapers to support financial statements and related disclosures such as: binder preparation, workpaper tie-down, check schedules for mathematical accuracy

If you are a student, I would jump on anything that pays and will give you experience. But ya, that specifically sounds like good experience to me.

Are you in Houston?

I did an internship for 1 year @ $16/hr doing financial reporting. I firmly believe that that experience helped me to get a job in Big 4. So yes, I would do it and leverage it to your longer-term goal. Worst case you get a full-time gig, which is solid.
