Anyone here have any experience in property accounting?

I’ve been seeing a lot of property accounting positions pop up and wonder if anyone has any insight on this role?
What’s the salary and career progression like for it? I’m in the NYC area if that helps. Thanks!

Hi Squeakydoors,
I have worked at as a property accountant for two of the Real Estate/property Management firms. Your role can be different depending on the size of the company you work for. At my last role at mid to large Firm, I use to handle full cycle accounting tasks for six different properties. I was an external accountant dealing with client’s properties who the company I work for managed. The job market for property accountant is great. As a senior property accountant, you can make 85k-90k in DC Metro area. Good Luck!
