Does anyone here recommend a book for somebody new to the accounting profession? For example, I don’t know what exactly a term loan or an escrow account is, and I’m basically clueless on how accounting systems work (what exactly is a subledger or leadsheet… That’s coming from a guy who passed FAR, AUD, REG so far).
I know I can learn about real world accounting through experience, but I’ll like to be proactive. Something as simple as a “Dummies” book or a textbook would help. Anything that’s practical and gets into more details of what accountants/auditors would see.
